About Uri Art & Judaica

It all started about a century ago in 1928, the Shevach family came to Israel from Yemen.
The head of the family in that time - Aharon, was a goldsmith artist, specialized in Judaic products,  in 1940 Meir was born, and ever since he was a young boy, he was interested in his father's work, Aharon taught Meir the fine art of silver filigree work. 

Meir continued developing and creating new Yemenite filigree decorations, and worked as a self-employed goldsmith for over 30 years. In that time he had a son named Uri, and the Shevach's goldsmiths secrets passed on to him.

In 1992 Meir and Uri decided that it is the time to open their own store with their products, and what location can be better than the Old City of Jerusalem?

Ever since, Uri Art & Judaica has become the most unique Judaic Store in Jerusalem, carrying the Shevach family tradition of creating hand-crafted beautiful Judaic creations from Sterling Silver.
